Growing up, I watched my mother run her own hair salon with pride and passion. She dreamt of bringing the vibrant braiding culture of Ivory Coast to the streets of London, where hair was more than just style. It was storytelling, community, and self-expression. That early exposure sparked something in me.
Years later, while volunteering as an English teacher in China, I found myself drawn to the local wig markets. What started as curiosity quickly became passion. I began sourcing wigs, learning textures, testing quality, and something clicked. Wigs, to me, are like outfits or armour. They let you step into different versions of yourself, confidently and beautifully.
